And we do not intend to stop here: The release of UA 1.0 is the first leg of a hopefully long journey.Īs long as people see value in UA we will continue to improve it. As far as I can see we have been much faster and dynamic in the way we addressed issues, added content and improvements than many other EA games I know. I really hope we do manage this well enough.Īnd we tried to prove it: Ultimate ADOM has seen 11 releases in our months in EA. That's why we have to balance business aspects and community wishes in a good-enough way. But we also have a team (because UA is technically a lot more complex than ADOM) with team members that need to support their families, buy food, etc. We have a roadmap for that and we are going to work on many more releases. build more detail, complexity, storylines, etc. So we have to ask you - the experienced "old guard" - to keep the faith and continue to support us so that we can - step by step. Staying until EA until all this done effectively hurts sales from the much larger audience (a) and we need those sales to build the game we personally love and that audience (b) expects. But Rome wasn't built in a day and ADOM neither. They expect UA to surpass ADOM in all respects.
